Fairtrade  Fair trade stands for fair and honest trade. We have chosen to support a project in South Africa where we buy marula and mongongo. The project helps South African farmers develop and market their crops for export. The project promotes sustainable production and fair trade with the aim of furthering economic growth in South African countries. In 2008, 90% of the farmers attached to this project were women as they are a particularly vulnerable group. The crops such as marula and mongongo are chosen because they are traditionally grown by women.
